with pneumonia the last 9 or 10 days. Every night is edgy. Should we cancel
shows for his health? Nils is adamant that we shouldn't. He puts out the
energy every show and every show is important.
Back in Florida, we played a venue with stripper poles and girls doing
the sexy dance for the regulars. It was also goth night, with young goths
gothed to the teeth. For the encore, I dueted with a pole dancer... me
a little more broken and sporadic in my expression.
I drove the bus for the second time. Still can't get the shifting thing
down. I need an experienced someone near me as I drive in case of "situation."
Austin had the rampant and infectious energy of the audience and Ft. Worth
had the large stage for me and Dan to face off and fight. At one point,
Dan and Matthias hold me upside down and rhythmically tap my head on the
ground while I make noises with the guitar.
We're had three days off on this tour: two were all day drives, the third
was a recording session for the band and improv night for me. We sure
love to do it all.
