Imagined Space & The Quotidian Body15:45-18:15
NOW! Festival, Berlin
Shinichi teaching improvisation at NOW! Festival
Leaping into the unknown takes courage. To prepare yourself, develop the fascia, soft tissues and flexibility through Yang Sheng Gong and Noguchi Taiso to promote a supple and dynamic expression. Through Action Theater, increase awareness of and playfulness with timing, proximity, history and the feeling states that affect your mechanical responses. Keep your eyes alive and your capacity for humor and darkness available.
You will work with scores and exercises designed to speed up the decision-making process, navigating a balance between “staying with it” and sudden change. Most importantly, trust your body.
